Virtual try-on for fashion commerce: a practical workflow

How to prepare model and SKU references, preserve garment identity, and review AI try-on results.

Start with a complete SKU

Virtual try-on works best when the SKU has a clean front view, useful detail images, and accurate color and material information. Keep different colors as separate variants instead of asking a model to guess.

Separate model, product, and direction

Treat the model reference as identity and body context, the SKU images as product truth, and the prompt as art direction. This separation makes revisions easier: change the pose without silently changing the garment.

Review product fidelity

Check neckline, seams, closures, hem, color, print placement, and accessories. Save accepted results as child versions so the original remains available.
